Art of Elysium: Heaven Gala

Last night (Saturday, January 16th), the charity Art of Elysium held a Gala titled "Heaven" in Los Angeles, California. This event took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, and was hosted partly by Vogue magazine. This gala, designed by artist, Shepard Fairy, honored actress Kristen Dunst for her dedication to the charity. The event consisted of a cocktail hour, speeches and honors, a Vogue fashion show, a sit down dinner, and a performance by Billy Idol. The Heaven Gala raised more than $1.2 million dollars in the end. Celebrities at this event included Rachel Bilson, Camille Bell, Kate Bosworth, Adam Lambert, Nicole Richie, Jessica Alba, Ashley Olsen, Katy Perry, Russell Brand, Minka Kelly, Elijah Wood, celebrity photographer Brian Marcus and MANY more!

Art of Elysium is an organization which brings art to terminally ill children in hospitals. Art of Elysium's missions statement reads: The Art of Elysium, a non-profit 501 (C)(3) organization founded in 1997, encourages working actors, artists, and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions. We provide artistic workshops in he following disciplines: acting, art, comedy, fashion, music, radio, songwriting, and creative writing.
