Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting Starworks Los Angeles, in Hollywood, California. Starworks is a PR firm which represents clothing brands such as Etro, Monique Lhuillier, Temperly London, Roland Mouret, Bally, Stuart Weitzman, Botkier, Andrew Gyn, Amanda Wakeley and Jasmine di Milo. This company supplies clothing from these brands to celebrities attending events. This way, the brand will gain popularity. Celebrity stylists, like Rachel Zoe, constantly borrow clothing from Starworks for their clients to wear. For example, Starworks was responsible for dressing actress Kristen Bell in a white Jasmine di Milo dress for the Golden Globes. Starwork's goal is to provide celebrities with these outfits, in hope that they will choose to wear them to the events.
It was the day after the Golden Globes, so most dresses were loaned out to celebrities, but I was still captivated by the sheer beauty of the clothing that neatly hung on the racks. Feathers, sparkles, and vibrant colors popped out to me from all of the clothing.
The Starworks showroom, which is about as big as a school gym, (give or take) is separated into three parts:Accesories,Gowns/clothing, and office space. In the accessories area, every shoe, bracelet, and handbag seemed almost too perfect! I was even lucky enough to spot the new Bally clutches (VERY beautiful, may I say) , which so casually laid on a table for all to see. I have concluded that, based on my short visit, Starworks would be a very exciting and educational place to work!
